Three countries working together through Interreg
Sponge is led by the WWF-NL, Drielandenpark and Landschapspark Grenzeloos Bocageland, in cooperation with the municipalities of Plombières, Dalhem, Raeren, Welkenraedt and Valkenburg, the Province of Limburg (NL) and Waterveiligheid en Ruimte Limburg (WRL).
Together they combine knowledge, governance capacity and regional networks to make the landscape in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine more resilient to drought and flooding. Sponge is co-funded by the European Union.
