Three-Countries Park
The Three-Countries Park
The Three-Countries Park (3LP) is an interregional cooperation partnership between 12 Belgian, German and Dutch authorities responsible for spatial planning and environmental and nature conservation at various administrative levels. The lead partner is the EGTC Euregio Meuse-Rhine (EMR), where the Three-Countries Park has been hosted since 2013 and represents the working area ‘Landscape and Climate’ since 2021.

About The Three-Countries Park
The 3LP provides a platform for cooperation and exchange on the preservation and sustainable development of open spaces and landscapes in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine, shared across borders. Since the flood disaster of 2021, the topic of water and climate-resilient landscapes has increasingly emerged as a priority in the context of many cross-border river basins in the Euregio.
In all its activities, the core task of the 3LP is to bring together the various stakeholders and experts from all sides of the borders and to facilitate exchange and promote cooperation across both political and professional boundaries.
The 3LP partnership is based on four-year cooperation agreements between all partners. The current phase runs from January 2023 to December 2027.
